The UN Women USA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter raises awareness about women’s rights and issues facing our world and local community. We educate and engage local communities about global women issues; we advocate to achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment; and we fundraise to provide key financial support for UN Women programs and initiatives that promote the social, political, and economic equality of women and girls across the world.

Global Voices Film Festival (GVFF), presented by UN Women USA San Francisco, highlights films that spotlight the unique stories of women around the world. GVFF supports emerging and established female directors, producers, and writers who are creating some of the most compelling and groundbreaking work in cinema.
