Who We Are

About USNC for UN Women, San Francisco Bay Area Chapter

Our Vision
The United States National Committee (USNC) for UN Women: San Francisco Bay Area (SFBA) chapter envisions a world where being female is no longer a motive for discrimination, exploitation or violence, where a person’s gender does not stipulate the human rights they receive, and where women, men, girls, and boys are all inspired to empower each other’s potential.

What is UN Women?
UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, works to eliminate discrimination against women and girls, empower women and achieve equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.

Who are we?
We are an independent non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose fundraising efforts support the programs of UN Women.
